Design Principles

Repetition I used the design principle of repetition in a variety of ways to create unity across all three assets.
  • The provided company logo and color scheme appears in all three designs which unifies the designs with one another as well as with wify.me's company brand.
  • All text uses the same Museo font which also matches the font of the company logo.
  • The format of the employee information in both the business card and letterhead match one another which creates consistency across both designs.
  • All designs feature the same green and brown diagonal shapes which not only unifies the designs but also makes them more interesting.
Contrast Contrast is used in the format of the employee information since the name and position have a larger text size compared to the contact information below. This helps to emphasize the most important information within the designs.
Proximity Proximity is used to group the employee information together in order to show that all of that information is related. This is important, for example, because it helps to convey the fact that the listed telephone number belongs to that specific employee and not the company as a whole.
Alignment Alignment is used throughout the design to establish a more appealing look and feel. For example, the separate groups of text for the employee information are aligned with one another as well as with the green accent line. Additionally, the same angle is used for all diagonal sides to make the designs look more aligned with one another.
Simplicity All three assets make use of the design principle of simplicity by focusing on the minimum required information and not adding in unnecessary text or clutter to the designs. The aesthetic elements of all of the designs are also very minimal (colored shapes or accent lines) in order to keep the design clean and simple.
